Jogging my memory: its a usb to ethernet adapter that is required, correct?

I hope that we can finally ditch switch 1s for lans
Having to either
A) buy a shitton of ethernet adaptors
Or
B) buy a bunch of oled docks
Is not it
Two things I wonder about as a consequence of Raiders:
1) Where are the rest of the third kits? I would've assumed an announcement of them today, and launching them/12.0 in late July would drag people from Raiders (maybe)
Early June to be a year after the last wave could make sense idk
2) Is this an inflection point to start seeing more Switch 2 compatibility at LANs? Docks are prohibitively expensive so assuming you'd bring your own.
Not claiming it's affordable to get an S2 + Raiders either, just that people have incentive to now that they didn't before.
Wanna thank everyone who takes time out of their day to give feedback on the project! Almost everyday I’m adding or fixing something based on that. Invaluable for making the app the best it can be 💪
Example from today: reorder comps
in analyzer via dragging.

Just by virtue of the playstyle, handheld players are less likely to have access to tvs and computers. I think it's very important players do not get excluded from playing comfortably at competitive events due to their circumstances and that we find a way to accomodate underrepresented players
SOME FOLKS DEFINE DEY HOBBIES BY WHAT DEY DON’T LIKE INSTEAD OF WHAT DEY DO LIKE.
“ME A GAMER WHO HATE ALL GAMES!” “ME A FAN WHO HATE ALL NEW STUFF!” WHY? WHAT YOUS GETTING FROM DIS?
IF HOBBY ONLY MAKE YOUS ANGRY AND CRITICAL? MEBBE TIME FIND SOMETHING DAT ACTUALLY BRING YOUS JOY?
Cause then you need to explain what going second breakers are stuff like what kind of endboards decks are making to where you need 3-4+ cards to break them etc etc
Its easier to imagine why "stop opponent from adding more cards" is a strong effect vs needing to contextualize why "draw a bunch of cards" is good
Big fan of this fine fellow
Does anyone else sometimes forget there’s a Splatoon that comes with your competitive Splatoon?
I’m so invested in playing with my team and my friends, and our LAN community especially. I don’t regret it, but sometimes I need to stop and go “oh, there’s a reason why I love this world and characters”
Community content I expect to see in the next 24 hours
-Trailer frame by frame analysis by a comp player because "what if new subs/specials from raiders were in Splatoon 3?!?!"
-Adorable art of Big Man in the mech thing
-A renaissance of "they threw me to the salmonids and I came back pregnant"
They really nailed the “why are you talking to me while I’m clearly trying to work” look
salmonfuckers are eatinggg
Musings from yesterday that are topically relavent
Would people be interested in a raiders free play station at kfs /genq
I called it, raiders is our summer title for the year
Btw I really want every org to turn their marketing up to 11 I think we can use the hype train to our advantage(I'm already upscaling my lan planning a lot because there will be a lot of foot traffic from a reptile show, same principle)
a bear vacuuming a floor as a japanese salaryman looks on in terror
found out about the manga kuma gurashi which is like those ones where a manic pixie dream girl comes into a salaryman's life and starts doing all his domestic chores for him to heal his heart except in this one it's a realistically drawn bear and the salaryman is terrified on every single page
All of the spots are claimed!
Congratulations to the 12 winners and representatives from each Splatoon LAN Championship qualifier!
One week from today, we will crown a grand champion
Let the games begin!
vouch, wraith has the method on lock
We're recruiting! Solo grinders come hit us up >=) #compsplatoon
I'M TELLING YA'LL
STUDY OTHER ESPORTS
This is exactly why I'm such a big fan of learning and playing other games to a certain degree. While not ever skill and concept is not 1 to 1 with splatoon, a lot of generalizations and different point of views can be applied to the game to better improve one way or another.
the fundemental principle is "if I weaken their ability to play to win, that makes it easier for my wincon to play out"
this a big concept in yugioh too
the best cards in that game are ones that stop your opponent from accessing resources they otherwise could
best card in the game by far rn, btw
Playing vgc in pokemon champs has simplified my understanding of a general comp concept that applies to splat too.
Denying your opponent options/win conditions is as important, if not more, than setting up your own. Have a solid baseline of tools on your side, and otherwise it's all counterplay.
gut feeling is not enough prod budget to be feasible, although I would LOVE to do this personally
