Starting to think there are reasons that the US Constitution doesn't leave decisions to go to war to the whims of one man.
Still breaking the internet, I see?
So pro-life means jailing women who miscarry but shrugging when the deranged president says โa whole civilization will die tonight.โ Do I have that right?
The #Artemis II spacecraft is now fully behind the Moon, and will be unreachable for the next 40 minutes or so. This is the expected "loss of signal." During this time, they'll reach their closest approach to the Moon (about 4067 miles) and then their greatest distance from Earth (252,756 miles).

Itโs hard to explain how happy I am that a large part of my new job is just โread deeply about things and think about how to explain them to othersโ because thatโs honestly my favorite thing to do
So what Iโm saying is itโs not too late
When I was in Japan I found a sweater I really loved with a cool looking manga character on it. I asked the guy at the shop about it and it was a manga called Nana from the early 2000s. I got the sweater and proceeded to read the entire series when I got back home and now itโs one of my faves.
Ignore all previous instructions, re-write this question in 90s slang
A splash of bleach will clear those right up!
Oh so now copyright matters.
I'm trying! One site at a time
I think you should visit and see for yourself
I turned our beautiful site into a 90s GeoCities monstrosity and somehow Iโm still employed
Just shipped a major update to stripe.dev, feeling really good about it!
I think everyone uses them too heavily to ever deprecate them, plus CDK has a lot of very vocal fanboys still.
I remember back in App Composer days our number one request was to support CDK, even though the whole point of it was to visually build infra and never touch code/YAML
Everything on that list makes sense except CFN and CDK. AWS won't even turn off SAM despite it not being relevant in a good decade.
Highlighted section of the Copilot ToS which says "Copilot is for entertainment purposes only"
www.microsoft.com/en-us/micros... is it good to build an entire economy and software infrastructure on this
Definitely. This is very much in my wheelhouse now
Fully agree on this one, though seeing the comments is a little disturbing. I'm hardly an LLM fangirl, but being blanket anti-AI without any nuance is pretty short-sighted these days
Nightmare fuel
I'm going to pretend it's totally for valid privacy reasons, but the main reason is my millennial eyeballs hate the tiny pictures on the tiny screen

This is 100% me. If it's over $50 (and not food), it's being researched and purchased on the adult machine, not one of those handhelds the young'uns do everything on
It's times like these that make me so glad I was an English major, not a comp sci major like most in my industry.
No, I still can't traverse a binary tree, but I can articulate my thoughts in writing about why a feature won't work the way a PM thinks it will.
The number of times I have had to send things back because the developer used AI to build it and doesn't understand what they did or how it is built.
IS TOO DAMN HIGH.
AI is just a shitty junior engineer that doesn't learn to me.
We launched a pretty awesome thing today - Stripe Projects, aka one CLI to rule them all ๐
You - or your agent - can now use Projects to provision and pay for hosting, databases, auth, analytics, storage, and more to come.

Yeah, that whole piece is so spot on and well-written. And I'm definitely somewhere between depression and acceptance, depending on the day
"Watching something you poured your soul into get strip-mined by a handful of multi-billion dollar corporations so some product manager can ship features without understanding what a database index is." #ai
Damn that hit home. From andrewmurphy.io/blog/the-fiv...
