Yeah, sorry friend, I guess we're at war now 😬

Thank you! Doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue!
You don’t get flowers without bees around here.
I know there are tons of biologists on here. Can someone tell me the proper way to pronounce oogenesis and oocyte?
It’s like a drinking game, but with cookies. One Oreo everytime my faith in humanity drops another notch.
Sign me up! I’d love someone to read my wax drippings!
*opens internet*
*closes internet*
*cries because it's winter and I can't play with my bees*
*grabs a cookie and opens internet again*
I got really excited for a minute thinking this was a search for actual insects 😂
I may not be able to scientifically prove that eating honey from your local beekeeper makes life measurably better, but I’m pretty sure you can’t prove that it doesn’t…
This is the only acceptable use of the Bee Movie.
Bee fact of the day: honeybees do democracy better than humans do.
This is not a post about roller coasters.

I disappeared for a month or so there. Do we have a badass beekeeper starter pack yet?
The silver lining to this bizarrely warm weather we are having is that I got to say hi to some bees today. Now I’m ready for it to snow again.
I feel the same way about grapefruit. I used to eat them during lectures at uni to stay awake and I miss it.
Throwback to the time I took 100 “dead” bees to school for a middle school microscope lab only to have them warm up and start buzzing around causing absolute mayhem in a room of 30 teenagers.
This is one of my very favourite things to watch!
A sleek black parasitoid wasp with bright orange legs sitting on the fingertip of the photographer.
It’s getting pretty cold for bug finding but I was excited to have a moment with this colourful beauty!
Genus pimpla, northern BC, Canada.
Cheers to kid scientists! My kiddo keeps a little plastic container full of bugs in the freezer for comparing under the microscope.
An adorable little leaf cutter bee on the tip of the photographer’s thumb.
Here’s my candidate 🥹
Megachile melanophaea from northern BC, Canada
I’m trying to do the same here. New approach: be a whole person 💃🏼
You had me excited for a minute 😆
A small paper wasp nest with 4 adult wasps seemingly frozen in time due to the cold weather.
I watched this paper wasp nest grow all summer in one of our empty bee hives. Today I thought I would get to collect an empty nest, but the last workers are still hanging on, too cold to move.
🐝 Gimme all things bees, please! Honeybee research, wild bee research, beekeepers, entomologists, macro photographers, honey connoisseurs, I'll take it all! I need to find my beeple on here!
Project Apis M is an amazing organization that funds tons of applicable honeybee research!
I believe the scientific term is beenis 🤣
Where is my “just a huge nerd with no real credentials to show for it” starter pack?
A tardigrade!
