Yeah, there's some interesting stuff here but we still don't know if that is what is explaining the difference in perceptions, but this could and should be studied.
OR is it because people are more and more being influenced by non-economic factors in their evaluation of economic conditions? Could be some mix of both. Worth investigating. I wouldn't be dismissive of either one.
The question was curt but I think what you and Will present is an interesting question: why are macro-economic indicators and perceptions that have typically been aligned no longer aligning? This could be because the measures are no longer doing a good job at measuring objective conditions
Catholics for the past two decades have maintained their status as the only remaining "thinking" conservatives and this new crop of converts who know nothing about the Church, other than having some vague notion that it is misogynistic like them, are really do their best to undermine that reputation
The sound on that disc is fantastic.

Our complete cowardice is striking in comparison to the brave people of Iran who took to the streets months ago to protest their own government and now take to the streets to defend their country from an aggressor - facing death both times. Solidarity 🇮🇷
Who cares?
Nice job parroting government claims uncritically in your headline @latimes.com.
Taylor Lorenz on Twitter: “As for social media 'addiction' there literally is no such thing. No diagnosis for that. Social media is not remotely the same as alcohol, nicotine, or heroin. There is no such thing as 'dopamine hits' which is merely pseudo-science sounding garnish on a load of served-up crap"

Heavy suppression in a protest against Ben Gvir's execution law, At least three people arrested and a Journalist was injured after a water cannon direcly shot him
This is like over a week old but the claim was "It takes rising gas prices and rising gas prices alone to have people turn against" the war. The claim implies that gas prices rose -> Americans became anti-war. But they were anti-war before gas prices rose, for probably a plethora of reasons.
Humanitarian aid to Gaza has plummeted since the US and Israel waged war with Iran. Food prices have skyrocketed, and there is a growing shortage of medical supplies. Don't let the war with Iran provide cover for the humanitarian abuses in the strip.

Tbf most Americans opposed this war at the outset. Most unpopular intervention of the post-WWII era.

Now, in the third week of the Iran War, Asian refiners are finally beginning to fill their supply hole with further afield barrels.
This is how MidEast and Asian scarcity becomes global scarcity.
Israel is trying to destroy Lebanon and a bunch of academics on here are handwringing and debating exactly how much of the war you are allowed to blame on them. The more people waking up to the depravity of this state the better.
"I do believe I'll have the honor of taking Cuba."
Journalist: "Taking Cuba?"
Trump: "In some form, yeah. Whether I free it, take it..."

Lots of talk about people "cheering for the US to lose." I mean...am I supposed to cheer on a war of aggression that violates international law, kills innocent people, benefits a genocidal regime, and agitates targeting and surveillance of Muslims at home?
Great! Looking forward to reading.
Thanks! Question about the book: does it address why we haven’t seen more radical environmental sabotage or terrorism in recent years? My perception is that this all peaked in the late 1990’s and it’s kind of curious why we haven’t seen more given the dire situation.
Still wondering why everyone decided to interpret Chalamet’s defense of the arts in the most uncharitable way possible. We have serious reading comprehension issues.

People saying OBAA won’t have staying power. IDK. As someone currently living under the regime of the Christmas Adventurers Club I feel like it’s going to resonate.
