They want you to steer clear of the area…

I heard today that the entire concept of the rapture was conjured up in the 1830s. It’s complete BS.

A long exposure shot of a path curving around an ancient ring fort in Ireland. The clouds streak across the sky giving a smooth but epic look and feel to the course, unmovable rocks that make up the barrier wall of this fort. The black and white tones give a timeless feel to the photograph.
A long exposure shot of the only entrance of an ancient ring fort in Ireland. Stairs run up and down the sides of this fort to access the ramparts, where ferns grow down the sides.
Ferns and moss growing on the walls of an ancient ring fort in Ireland. The soft, vibrant colors of the plants hide the hard, grey rocky wall underneath.

This is the ring fort Grianan Of Aileach in Ireland.
The fort, built 1700 BC sits on a hilltop, 250m above sea level. It is built largely without mortar.
These #longexposure shots, 90-120 seconds, give a long #passageoftime feel. The wind howled as it blew, but once you were inside, it was calm.
I’ve been out shooting for the better part of a month, preview from the back of the camera…
I guess Josh Gates is coming to save me. Since he’s an archaeologist I assume I’ll already be dead and buried for 2000 years.
Nooooooooooo 😭😭😭
This is part of a new collection I just uploaded to my website called "The Streets". If you feel like wandering, the link’s in the bio.
I was in Siena, drawn in by the textures, symmetry, and the way the light pooled just inside the gate of this doorway. I’d settled on a frame, and this kid came into frame and climbed up.
I have a clean version of this too, but I keep coming back to this one. Feels more honest somehow.
About the Middle Ages for the first 2, the last one was much more recent…
So who knows what the ADHD tax is? I’ll give you a hint. I have 2 camera bodies. #adhd
Agreed! It is such a wonderful place!
Really like the rusty silverware!!
This striking black-and-white photograph captures the haunting beauty of a decaying shipwreck beached on the edge of a calm inlet. The juxtaposition of the vessel against a backdrop of rolling hills, and a sky strewn with drama evokes a sense of time, solitude, and forgotten journeys.
