AI will eventually do everything you can do except the one thing that actually matters

crush a drive 300 yards down the center of the fairway

I mean I can't do that either but you get the point

I think of the Bill Gates quote: “I will always choose a lazy person to do a difficult job because a lazy person will find an easy way to do it.” Engineers will find the path of least resistance, as long as we provide them with the space and support to do so.

Software engineers are natural problem solvers. Provide them with the right tools, and they will use them to make their jobs and lives easier. There is little value in forcing AI tool adoption on them.

Product managers are the context engineers for engineering teams.

To truly drive AI adoption, focus not on developer workflows but on the areas where AI can be impactful before the first line of code is written.

If you’re curious about the project, stack, workflow, or lessons learned, happy to swap notes. Just drop me a message.

We’re living in such an interesting time where individual engineers, let alone teams, can move with incredible velocity when paired with the right tools and workflows. AI is a pragmatic layer of leverage in modern development.

From my phone:
• I dropped the stack trace into ChatGPT (Codex)
• Reviewed the suggested fix
• Opened a PR
• Watched tests pass and deployed to staging
• Ran a quick smoke test
• Merged to main → fix auto-deployed to prod

End-to-end: ~5 minutes. Just a clean pipeline, automation, and AI.

Fixed a bug. Shipped to production. All before getting out of bed.

Like many engineering leaders, I still enjoy getting hands-on with side projects on weekends. This morning, I woke up to a Sentry alert.

AI Isn’t Replacing Engineers, It’s Amplifying Them We’re living in an incredible time for software development. With the right tools and workflows, individual engineers and entire teams can move at a pace that would’ve seemed impossible just a few yea...

AI enhances software engineering teams, not replaces them.

While AI and engineering velocity are discussed, how does it impact teams, hiring, and product delivery? I share my perspective on AI as leverage, not a replacement.

🤔 built a MCP server for Plan Harmony. Is there a place I can publish it for others to use?

All of this took about 5 minutes and no laptop. Such an interesting world we live in these days.

Why is no one talking about iced affogatos? Iced americano with a scoop of vanilla

Listen, I love being a leader. I love the energy of my teams, getting to know so many amazing personalities, and doing the best I can to bring out the best in them. Having said that, I often miss writing code and being the nerd in the corner with headphones.

Question: How useful would it be to have a place to see trips others have planned and shared publicly for travel inspiration?

Perhaps travel agents or influencers could share them, etc.

I'm working on something, DM me if you want to see an early preview
