Also libraries go and buy a new book (physical book, ebook, audiobook) if I ask them to when I cannot find something in their collection!
Way better than unnecessary and exploitative piracy.

Wales is so beautiful in my memory. I used it to calm my brain for a little while.
All the rules are made up and I would like kind people to make the rules please.

Almost all of the bugs and problems and breakage in the software you use is known to the engineers, we just aren't allowed to fix it. Gotta ship new features.

Tariffs, Programmers and Everything
Learning about tariffs was not on my bingo card this week. However, here we are and I’m struggling to understand many aspects of it, the why and the weird frequency of change in particular. I saw a short video by Alberta Tech on Tariffs vs Programmers that made…
UK Pensions – An Overview with Actions
Pension - two important things to note - it is your money and it is invested. A pension may be your biggest investment because the plan is to support oneself on it for 30-40 years. The government wants you to be able to do this and they help out with tax…

Moving my personal finance blog from Wordpress to Hugo.

Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki
Would I recommend it? Not really...maybe. You’re better off reading a summary somewhere or watching a video on it. It’s an extremely well-marketed book, you can borrow it from your library or a friend if you’re interested. This review is my experience with the…

When to Invest and Why Dollar Cost Averaging Works for Most Investors
The best time to buy shares is when stock prices are low and sell when they are high. But how am I supposed to know when that would happen? The people who work in finance can barely predict this. A search for “how accurate are…

Sunset with part of the aeroplane wing
Sunsets while on the plane can be 2-3 hour long shows and I love it!
This post is mostly external links because I came across a lot of cool charts. Not great for mobile, best viewed on a bigger screen.
Love that!
Your cats seem very adventurous 😂
Also love the demo!
I asked it to filter out tech companies and it decided on a list of words in the company name to separate them like software, tech, data, cloud, solutions, systems, ai, etc. which is pretty clever with the info it had.
I tried making it work as an independent app and all I had to change was the CSS framework. Now I wouldn't have gone with the choice of displaying everything all at once without pagination (or even using react for it) because it is a big file and loading it in memory stressed out my computer :D
My aim today was to build something with instructions from Claude. It shook me with how it created a react component for displaying data.
