god damn every single one of these astronauts is a fucking poet what is even going on

they are all so fucking funny and what is so magnetic about them is that they are EARNEST. They are GENUINE.
it’s surprisingly wholesome and cute to me that now they’re wearing the USS Murtha hats to thank the Navy for bringing them that final leg back home
ARTEMIS HUG
Reid Weisman is just a big old goofy-hearted nerd like the rest of us and I love that for him
The Moon: oh wow you guys decided to come back
Artemis II crew: earth’s haunted
absolutely wild beyond words that we all get to listen to this LIVE and hear everything.
“Can you say the first letter I may be pronouncing that wrong” I love this so much
what do you MEAN I get to listen to astronauts describing features of the moon we’ve never seen before (?) to people down on earth and they’re naming and identifying these features in real-time??? this is WILD this is SO COOL
MOON
I love my orange suit astronauts who are being so brave ahead of such a scary mission. I love my white suit nasa helpers who are helping them suit up. I love the NASA TV anchors who are being so calm. I love all the silly little people like me submitting questions on social media.
feel like I’m in a science fiction movie right now what the hell this is SO COOL
finally watching the Artemis launch and I’m already getting teary-eyed at the suit pressure tests 5 hrs pre-launch. SPACE IS SO COOL AND TECHNOLOGY IS SO COOL AND SCIENCE IS SO COOL, WE ARE GOING TO THE MOON! HOW COOL IS THAT!?!? And how cool that we get to watch it?!?
I take it all back btw I love my passover family and I love my passover toddler and they love me so much
I can count to ten without using my fingers. surely there is a place in the future of spaceflight for someone with these skills.
anyone from nasa wanna hire me for the artemis real quick so I don’t have to do homework and don’t have to go to scary big passover
photo showing the rescuers saving the dog, next to the statue commemorating them
closeup on the base of the statue, showing a dog and a man in a ball cap
the top of the statue, where the person at the top of the slope has his hand outstretched so the viewer can "help" pull him up
in 2016 a group of strangers in Kazakhstan saved a dog from drowning by forming a human chain to reach him. they just unveiled a statue commemorating the event and I'm genuinely about to start sobbing
Eg when the drivers turn the bus off, put the red stoppers on the wheels, take bathroom break and then come back before turning the bus back on for the reverse route - I’m not sure if this takes the bus “offline” from the real time arrival countdown or not. It could mess w/ the accuracy either way.
Off the top of my head, maybe bus bunching and/or the drivers changing over at the station by the W library where you and I go messing with the tracking times?
Ooh this is my jam text me pls
I miss when I was young and naive and thought everything was good. I’m so tired of everything now. I just want to be a little kid again. Playing with my brother under the Passover table and falling asleep on the couch long before the night’s end. I want to know NOTHING of war, suffering, politics.
You may even figure out which groups you want to avoid! Also fine!
Think of No Kings as a kind of high school activities fair where you're getting to check out all the different clubs.
But all these clubs are also fighting fascism, which is pretty cool!
You will not agree with everyone marching at No Kings! You won't like every sign you see or cheer at every single line from every speaker! And that's fine - that's even great! It's important to get exposed to the diversity of the coalition and figure out where your lane is.
And it's a huge chance for folks to get exposed to folks further left than they might be and to meet and march with and support communities they might not have contact with.
It's a good thing, y'all.
Also too: an incredibly wide range of groups on the left will be participating in No Kings - from normie D politicians to WFP, DSA, and PSL chapters all around the country to orgs representing every cause and community you can imagine. A HUGE chance for people to find their organizing homes.
If you think No Kings is too vague or insufficiently radical, I sincerely encourage you to go to your local No Kings rally tomorrow and hand out flyers/zines to recruit folks to your org/cause. It's a perfect recruitment event! Thousands of people eager to DO STUFF! Get out there!
A range of new pride & nods to pride flags & window displays in these 4 photos
Hopefully @bostonu.bsky.social realizes there’s no going back now.
Toddlers: trainmaxxing, transitgooning, absolutely love a mass conveyance.
A better reply is "maybe people shouldn't be offed in the street like goddamn animals based on anything, from their ethnicity to their opinions"
It implies the violence is justified if it's directed against Israelis or Zionists. Obviously I have skin in the game but I don't think it's okay to run over/bomb/shoot at people based on where they were born OR because they have what some would consider* bad opinions.
