Most feeds appear to be made using skyfeed. But it is possible to write (and host) custom bluesky feeds.

But from what I can tell, there's no way to know what a feed does internally. It's a bit of a blackbox to feed subscribers.

I assume that feature would have to be implemented by whoever setup the feed! Or are you using one of the bluesky managed feeds?
