‘Too able to be disabled, too disabled to be able’ – Diabetes Awareness Month Happy Diabetes Awareness month! As we reach the end, I have some thoughts to share. First, it's been really cool to see so much (more than ever before) on diabetes. But also, quite odd, and surprisingly a little sombre. Diabetes awareness month is pretty much the only time I ever see anything outside my own social sphere on diabetes. I often see lots of influencers, news articles, and many shades of blue.

Consider this my official diabetes awareness month post! #T1D #GBDOC

Viva Reflections It's been quite some time since I last posted a blog. The truth is I've been very busy and burnt out, with little space to dedicate to my usual fun, creative outlets. Things I used to love, like my guitar, are sitting in a centimetre of dust and my body feels like it is too. Last Friday I dug myself out for my PhD viva.

After a successful viva last Friday, I am back to blogging. There is no space in papers for creative writing, so I made some on my website!

Presenting some post viva thoughts 💭
