Assignments requiring weekly alumni conversations, LinkedIn/resume practice, and informational interviews meaningfully increase students’ experience with real networking tasks and improves how comfortable they feel networking. Small interventions can bring a big payoff for career readiness.

We faculty heard some pretty astounding numbers yesterday. The big whopper is that our unit (all the historians and social scientists) costs the university about $1.4m a year. Because we teach so much (all those "student credit hours" we account for), we bring into the university more than 3x that.
No, they're not caught between anything. Stop it. The fact that AI may be used or useful in future jobs does not create a single dilemma at all for college students in how to actually complete their coursework. This is all nonsense & excuses for not doing the reading & learning how to think & write.
