This past weekend is the second one in a row in which hikers from Massachusetts had to be rescued from the Falling Waters trail in Franconia Notch, NH. They were wearing sneakers. That trail is steep and treacherous on a good day. Never mind when it's icy. I hope they're charged for the rescue.
