Time to end greyhound racing for good!

Today MSPs will vote on @markruskell.bsky.social bill to finally ban greyhound racing in Scotland.

Greyhound racing is a cruel sport that has a terrible impact on the dogs who are risking their lives by being forced to run at such dangerous speeds.

Listening to incredibly moving speeches ahead of the vote on the Assisted Dying Bill at Holyrood tonight. I will be voting for the bill at 10pm, it now has robust safeguards, choice for the individual to end their suffering and compassion must be put first.

Greyhound racing is only legal in 8 countries. Tomorrow Scotland votes to join the world in banning it. A map shows that it's legal in the US, Australian, New Zealand, England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.

Tomorrow Scotland can ban greyhound racing for good, as the Scottish Parliament takes its final vote on @markruskell.bsky.social's bill.

This cruel 'sport' results in the deaths of hundreds of dogs in the UK and leaves tens of thousands injured.

It's time it was finally brought to an end.
