The Penguins *allowed* just 0.77 expected goals during 5-on-5 play last night. That is their third-lowest number since 2007. The Flyers are not even trying to generate offense. They are simply waiting for the Penguins to make a mistake. Their patience is being rewarded.

As an outsider it confirms what I've always thought, TOR is an org that should always be a top 5 NHL team but can't get out of their own way.

I'm more interested to see if the new coaches are an upgrade.

We've seen good talent come here but the coaches have failed them.
