#rivrz8 It's genuinely so amazing, some of the best of the series. Tappei is really fucking good at keeping tension building across mutliple scenes and it's been at its best recently. Plus the way Subaru is being tested in his ideals and the cognitive distortions he has.

#rzarc7 I have finally finished arc 7! It was really good, there were a couple spots that dipped in quality but overall I loved where the story went and is going. I'm very excited to start arc 8 after I read some side stories!

Well, if you do want more Re:Zero right now, (if you haven't already) I'd recommend giving the web or light novels a try! They are very very good and I am not biased at all

#rzarc7 As much as I love Re:Zero, one of its most consistent issues is how some of the fight scenes in the novels can be a drag to read. However, sometimes, Tappei locks the fuck in. All this to say, arc 7 chapter 110 is incredible and I'm not even done reading it.

#rezero32 Welp, that's all my thoughts currently. Honestly really excited to reread this arc one day so that I can recontextualize it in my head, I feel like all my thoughts are pretty shallow so I want to do a close reading at one point. However, I gotta catch up and read every side story first :3

#rezero32 Although, honestly that's been an issue I had ever since arc 6. Arc 5 wasn't too bad with it, but 6, a couple parts of 7, and Sword Identity do it a bit too often. It'd be better for scenes to fully play out before switching POV or only at climactic turning points, but it's not that bad.

#rezero32 I also really like Garfiel and Kamfa's battle although it does suffer due to there being a cut away in the middle of it. Overall the only real issue with this phase is just how often chapters switch from pov to pov. It makes things hard to follow and be fully invested.

#rezero32 It's such a satisfying culmination and display of her development and I love her and that scene so much.

#rezerovol32 Also, the more I think about Beatrice's Al Shamak the more I love it. Throughout arc 2-4 she would only extend her hand to Subaru, and in arc 5 she saves a member of her camp. However, here we see her finally extend her hand towards people who are almost strangers.

#rezerovol32 First of all, I loved the various pieces of set up and continue to be impressed with how well rezero works without Subaru or RBD. Subaru is an incredible character and RBD is a great plot device but the story still stands on its own without them which is really impressive.

I think it's really good, but it definitely needs some more breathing room. While episode 3 did a good job with Garf, I really think the Astrea and Garfiel scenes in episode 1 needed more time to let them sink in
