Amazing results from the KESVII climbers – finishing 2nd and 3rd in Sheffield and 2nd overall in the team event, held at The Works Climbing Centre, Sheffield.
The Y9 netball team finished their final league meet of the season on a high note, showing just how much they have improved throughout the year. They achieved excellent results, winning 9–7 against Tapton and securing an impressive 8–0 victory over Westfield. An incredible season for the team.
on Saturday, Y12 girls helped the Soroptimists to raise awareness about Violence against Women and Girls, supported by the 50-strong Rock Choir. Our group of 17 Post-16 students have returned from a week in Vienna, full of history, culture, art and good company.
The Y7 A team had a fantastic set of results; they secured a strong 6–0 win against Silverdale, followed by another impressive 6–1 victory over Birkdale and they delivered a high-scoring performance to defeat Egberts 13–7 Well done to everyone involved!
Y7 and Y8 girls put their skills into practice at a rugby festival held in partnership with the Eagles Rugby Foundation. A fantastic afternoon of enthusiasm, teamwork and determination. If any students are interested in joining a girls’ rugby club, please speak to a member of the PE department.
Sheffield Schools' Netball Tournament Success: KES Team 1 delivered an outstanding performance at the tournament, progressing all the way to the final out of 16 teams. They narrowly lost to Silverdale by just two goals. Finishing 2nd out of 16 teams is an incredible achievement! Congratulations!
KES took two teams to the Sheffield Schools' Netball Tournament and it was fantastic to see so many of our players competing in such a high standard of competitive netball. All players performed exceptionally well and represented the school with great commitment and sportsmanship.
Our Post 16 Historians explored the impact and legacies of the British Empire, locally, nationally and globally on a residential visit to London last week. Well done for asking lots of interesting questions and thinking critically about the sites we visited!
Today, students at Lower School enjoyed the amazing food that was prepared by Chartwells' Catering Team for the Chinese New Year and pancake day. Thank you to all the staff for yet another wonderful theme day 👏

The South Yorkshire Schools' Cross Country Championships took place at Longley Park on Saturday. KES had seven students representing Sheffield. Freya, Lucy, Lacey and Sophie (Y10), Sam (Y7), Evie (Y7) and Sam (Y12) all produced outstanding performances!
KES Superstars! We are thrilled to announce that Year 10 students Freya and Lucy have been selected for the SY Schools' Cross Country team and will represent the region at the English Schools' Championships in Liverpool on 14 March. We couldn’t be prouder of them!
Congratulations to our Y7/Y8 Girls Sportshall athletes who have been crowned Sheffield Champions! Brilliantly coached by Y8 sports leader Ellie. Going on to represent Sheffield Schools at the South Yorkshire Finals on 19 March. So proud, marking our 4th year of girls’ teams reaching the finals!
24 Y7 and Y8 students were given an incredible opportunity to take part in a residential visit to Thornbridge as part of our funding from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport through UK Youth. Students experienced a range of activities including high ropes and cargo net climbing.

Y10 students spoke at the HMD Event at the Cutlers' Hall last night. They spoke about the theme of Bridging Generations and the importance of Holocaust education for young people. They were a real credit to themselves and the School. The students involved were: Sidney, Sabina, Kaitlyn and George.
Anaya, a Y7 student, is a fantastic actress! Here's what she had to say: "I started performing arts at around 2 years old. My mum said I was always singing and dancing! I have performed with Kate Winslet in "The Regime", on West End and I am currently filming for a TV soap. So proud of Anaya!
Year 11 geography students swapped the classroom for the dramatic cliffs of Flamborough Head on the East Yorkshire coast. Battling cold winds, they explored coastal landforms and processes first-hand while sharpening their fieldwork skills.
On 8.1.26 the Y9 Cutlers' Ambassadors presented their NHS healthy teenagers project in front of a large audience and 6 other schools at the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre.
All picked up prestigious awards. The Master Cutler Professor Keith Jackson presented their awards Well done all!
It was lovely to see so many Year 7 students turn up for the netball match last night against Silverdale. The players tried extremely hard, drawing one match and narrowly losing the other. Well done to all those who played.

Well done to the Y5/6 girls from Westways, Hallam and St Marie’s who took part in a football tournament last night at KES. A big thank you as well to the KES sports leaders, who did an excellent job refereeing the games!
Year 7 students today had a live lesson with Tom Palmer as part of the National Year of Reading. Tom told us about his own reading journey and experience as an author to share inspiration and ideas with students to connect their interests to books and read more about what they love.
Well done to our Year 8 netball team who took part in the Sheffield Schools' League meeting. The team performed exceptionally well, securing wins against Mercia and Sheffield Girls’. It was great to see so many girls getting involved and representing the School with such enthusiasm and teamwork.
Congratulations to Freya (Y10), who competed in the Yorkshire Cross Country Championships at the weekend. She delivered an outstanding performance, finishing 7th in Yorkshire.
