In my study, late at night, I look into the crackling fire and chuckle into my brandy about Croydon Spaceport having become a vast multi-channel commercial property

#Longcon is on 27-28 June at the Garrison Hotel in Sheffield, UK, offering a different convention approach - you play a mini-campaign over the whole weekend.
We've 8 fantastic games, and would love to see more folks there - please have a look and register via the link below!

I've been eyeing this up, but being the weekend after the second Rolling in the Ruins date, i suspect it may be one weekend too far for Phil. Still gonna try and convince her though.
Well, what an absolutely epic day of dodging Daleks & watching people sign up and grab seats at Rolling in the Ruins 2026. There are some spaces left for the slackers, and more games may be added, but blimey... we have a mini-con!
Bloody marvellous.
Roll on June & thanks to everyone supporting it.
Food of the gods

I’d quite forgotten about LONDON’S DARK by James Robinson and Paul Johnson (Escape/Titan 1989) until I found my old copy. An important entry in the late 80s UK comic canon, I feel.

Great to see one of my oldest mates today. He came bearing gifts! Not sure we were qualified to sit in that booth though...

I am currently in Tirana Albania. Yesterday, l stumbled across an old man selling secondhand books on the street. Amongst his offerings were some old communist magazines featuring my favourite style of images from that era of the Soviet Union - technicians using computers.
I've been looking for some lean, flexible yet nuanced system inspiration for one of my backup Rolling in the Ruins games and thanks to Paul and @rpgaugust.bsky.social I think I've found it.
The best rock band in the world today has a brand-new album.

I hope there's a powerful show of support for JC from the crowd and the lads turn it on for him
This is as weird as seeing someone holding an SM7b up to their gob
The Anglo Scots border people of (checks notes) Brimsby would surely agree
Whenever I come across this in my piles of stuff, I never fail to flick through and have a laugh @malcolmcraig.bsky.social. No doubt we'll chat about this when we meet again in May.
Oh shit, I saw this donkeys years ago but I never realised it was a Fuest joint!
Very excited to have Malcolm bringing his second edition of one of my fave RPGs of the last 20 years to Rolling in the Ruins in Bratfud in June!

Always a pleasure to get a delivery from @tomeenmurphy.bsky.social and @colossive.com
Looking forward to giving this a go over the weekend.

Exciting stuff. Can't bloody wait!
I've decided to run the #HotWar RPG at a convention for the first time in [waves vaguely at the late 2000's]. In Bradford, no less, at the mini-con convened by @breakfastruins.bsky.social!

I miss the 90s
Heeeeey Damnation Warrior. It's been an age!
LAs, now there's a blast from the past.
A crucifix blends into the top of Big Ben while a crown of thorns looms at the base.
A man in the fetal position, mimicking being 'In Utero' while hovering above ancient Judaea.
A couple of pieces based on Michael Moorcock's New Wave classic, Behold the Man. Will probably do a couple more at some point
David Barnett’s folk horror novel SCRATCH MOSS against a vinyl copy of Marillion’s MISPLACED CHILDHOOD album.
Nobody said Joe Collier was a cool teenager in 1985.

This weekend is @conpulsion.bsky.social 2026, and I'll be doing my usual schtick of talking about RPG history in the Cabaret Bar!
