Having the roof repaired today. Workers have been walking around up there all day, occasionally really loudly stomping.

Part of me can see the appeal of the smartwatch, but most of my is happy I started wearing a dumbwatch a couple years ago. I have one less reason to take my phone out of my pocket.

Like, the Nintendo 3DS is making a comeback, and it hasn't been manufactured or even supported in years.

Maybe it's just me and my own personal feelings, but I could see things changing such that "the newest thing" isn't even appealing anymore, and what people want is reliable working versions of gadgets they had a decade or so ago.

I was listening to a segment on NPR about Tim Cook stepping down as Apple CEO. It mentioned his replacement - John Ternus - was an engineer and was on the teams that made such things as the ipad. It got me to thinking: What is the future of cool consumer "gadgets?"

I just had a podcast ad ask me to forget everything I know about bone broth.

It didn't take long.
