Today, Spotify AI wanted me to broaden my horizons, “You might like this one by Def Tones; they’re kinda like Nirvana.” AI obviously not from the 90s.

Requesting a timeline mode for prototypes in @figma.com. Let users animate on-screen transitions with different curves and keyframes without waiting for the last interaction to complete.

Observation of the day: prototyping transition animations is much easier than prototyping text editing animations. Smart Animate is not set up to alter strings.

My boss, rightly, pointing the team to look at Dream Machine by Luma.ai.

Projects (files) are represented as threads with the chatbot.

I'd love to hear some details.

Brad, you speak my love language. Message from the Country, amirite? Named my son “Bruce” so he could bring em down.

Srsly DMs on this? We’d be fast friends. I’ll find a way.

Agree. But just a thought that we’re not likely to be in the age social media anymore. Still, glad to think with you out loud.

Leonard Cohen - Hallelujah (1984)
Leonard Cohen - Hallelujah (1984) YouTube video by Nosta Network

Style has meaning; not taste. Here’s the perfect illustration:

Listen for meaning between the Cohen, Cale, Buckley versions of Halleujah. Cohen version is adult and tuff. Buckley version is sweet and young — and he might not get it.

Congratulations to @tuhin.bsky.social and team for all of the hard work that went into this product and page:

Yes, it has already happened.

The next bit is what I’m curious about. Those private, personal questions mined by llm co as a prioritized list of products matched with certainty to young users.

The nature of Dischord convos might not lead to the same stream of desires. Also not sure of their TOS.

This sounds like the “stay hungry” half of “Stay hungry; stay foolish.” Might add “Bump into the walls” to balance it out 😉

Kids sort of forced off of a more social web and into a more private dialogue (AI or DMs), and wondering about the repercussions of that.

I wonder if there’s an intersection with this thought: bsky.app/profile/roys...

Private as in no one else knows.
Private as in secret.
Private as in owned by the LLM Co.

The Co will know all the private desires, and can then launch timely products and product integrations knowing the priority of need/wants.

An insight from a recent project: kids that use LLMs for homework will continue to use LLMs to solve bigger life problems as they exit high school and college. A lot of convos that would have previously happened on social networks will become “private” in every sense of that word.

We’re all just waiting for that tipping point 😬

I bet you know this already, but, just in case, you pay more interest (and much less principal) at the beginning of the mortgage.

Trying to remember the order of events:
- something with @zeldman.bsky.social
- something when all the web folks started wearing the space helmet
- people citing Atomic Design
- don’t you play drums?

It’s gross, but having lived in NYC, I think of all $1s on the ground as “poo dollars.” It’s the cost of someone doing their business.

Aside from hardcore tools (VisiCalc, Finder, MacPaint, GitHub, Photoshop, iOS keyboard, etc) Paper is/was the very best app ever made.

Do you reuse it, or spin it up custom every time?

Recommendations pls:

Using AI daily in all sorts of mundane ways now. Midjourney for avatars and fake products. ChatGPT to write copy for products, and to make my own comms more concise. Perplexity for information gathering.

I’m missing AI that can produce great logos and wordmarks. #design
