This isn't your typical year-on-year of upping crash standards, this is Euro NCAP scrambing to fundamentally fix the way they operate if their test regime has evolved to the point where they can penalize a car for non-compliant rescue sheets, or belt reminders, but not a whole ass seat failing...

I think it also shows that coming after trans lives are really about coming after all of us.
I think the fact that GMB is debating the merits of pride flags is rather terrifying and reflects where we are with LGBTQ+ lives at the minute.
Discworld QOTD, from Mort
"'Well, ----me,' he said. 'A ----ing wizard. I hate ----ing wizards!'
'You shouldn’t ----them, then,' muttered one of his henchmen, effortlessly pronouncing a row of dashes."

I’d pay money for a MacBook where the menu bar doesn’t go awry and intersect the notch when you disconnect it from an external monitor
That’s a nice touch
I almost never hear this one by itself because I always get the belt BING BING BING over the top while I’m hopping in 😂
I had no issue with the way the EX30 drove, but calling it a hot hatch is a stretch, it just felt like a standard EV crossover that so happened to have lots of power.
It’s a shame y’all have no real alternatives on the US market, that an EX30 ends up being your closet option to an “EV hot hatch”
A picture of the infotainment screen in a Volvo EX30. In most cars, the button to turn on the rear fog lights is a physical switch near the driver. In this car, the fog light button is an option under a menu on the touch screen.
I’d have the Born over an EV3, an EV3 over an ID.3, but the EX30 never ever.
The interior, ergonomics, UX in the Volvo are abysmal. A lot has (rightly) been said about ID infotainment, but my time in an EX30 was worse than a launch ID3.
Really temper your expectations for when it lands in the US
They'll probably just give it a new name when it's facelift time, and everyone will have moved on. With how many bits it shares with its ID.brethren and the Explorer, I can't imagine it'll hurt them all that much if it soliders on.
I’m staggered that the EX30 has been as popular as it has - Cheap, flimsy interior, maddening infotainment, and some of the worst steering wheel controls I’ve ever used. Certainty the most disappointing car I tried last year.
Sharp! What was the light source?
wow they really just took the cognitive overload infotainment from the Honda E and put a Sony skin on it, huh
So it’s not even Mazdas own work, on paper it already trails something like the Ioniq 6 and it won’t even be out for another year.
The nearly doubling in time for the larger battery model to hit 80% considering it’s only ~12kWh bigger doesn’t sound promising at all…
The dashboard of an Ioniq 6 car lit up, parked on a motorway at night surrounded by cars that are also stationary but with no lights on. The trip computer shows a journey time of nearly 10 hours.
I got held on the M5 for eight hours during a closure on my way home to S Wales. In that time, I had the heating, lights, everything on and only dropped 6% battery. Whereas everybody else was in darkness and fogging up.
I never want to hear “EVs don’t work in traffic jam” from anyone ever again! 😄
