I told our staff person to let him know that the thesis should be cataloged, so the patron can look for it himself, and there is likely a digital copy. However, if he wants to see the physical thesis, he will have to tell us what it is because it is in storage. Otherwise, he is out of luck! So odd!

Today, in weird patron request. Someone wants to see a copy of a thesis on behalf of the author.
Us: "Okay, give us the author name."
Patron "No"
Us: "Okay, what is the title?"
Patron: "Can't tell you."
Us: "Why?"
Patron: "FERPA."
So, how are we supposed to find it?

I love the feeling of "winning" at a doctor's appointment. My sleep doctor said that I am in the 98th percentile of usage and that they never worry about me because I do everything I'm supposed to and they never have to nag me. Look at me! I'm winning at sleep apnea and narcolepsy!
