Honor & Heresy – DNF Thoughts Hello, everyone! Today I'm discussing my thoughts on my most recent DNF, Honor & Heresy by Max Francis. I don't always discuss my DNFs, but this book was such a huge disappointment for me. So, I need to rant a bit to get over the grief I hold for what this book could've been.

Agatha Christie: An Elusive Woman by Lucy Worsley Why did Agatha Christie spend her career pretending that she was “just” an ordinary housewife, when clearly she wasn’t?  Her life is fascinating for its mysteries and its passions and, as Lucy Worsley says, "She was thrillingly, scintillatingly modern."  She went surfing in Hawaii, she loved fast cars, and she was intrigued by the new science of psychology, which helped her through devastating mental illness.

Here is my review of Lucy's Worsley's book on Agatha Christie:An Elusive mystery

BOOK REVIEW | OUR MONSTROUS BODIES | EMMA CLEARY

NEW REVIEW: I suppose I ought to do a review, didn’t I? Well, in between mammoth comic reads I read the debut novel from Emma Cleary called Our Monstrous Bodies, a literary horror about loneliness, motherhood and body autonomy.

Cover for book "The People's Republic of Love" by Heather Child. Aerial view of a heart-shaped island set in a deep blue sea, with a fringe of shallow turquoise water around it. There are yellow beaches and palm trees, and among the trees, lavish building half seen. Above the island is a robotic eye. At the top of the page, the words "Celebrities have their own country - what could go wrong?"

Happy publication day to The People's Republic of Love by @heatherika.bsky.social, out today from @srlpublishing.bsky.social. A very timely book, I think - as well as a gripping and moving one. I'm grateful to both for access to an advance e-copy. bluebookballoon.blogspot.com/2026/03/revi...

I went to read an article about an AHL team. The hook mentions "bipolar power play."
Allow me a moment to rant:
Sports plays aren't bipolar. The weather isn't bipolar. A business that changes stances quickly isn't bipolar.
The word you're looking for is changeable.
We can do better.
