Jersey folks 🇯🇪- I’m finalising a launch talk on Perotine, set within the wonderful CI Contemporary Art Show.

Perotine is a story deeply entrenched in the landscape, and the exhibition is suitably immersive.

Oh, welcome drinks thrown in!

Funny Thing About the Hands… - Uncharted I visited the peat bog just before dawn, when the morning fog was still heavy, hovering over the carpet of peat like a damp blanket. Earlier that morning, I’d noticed peat dried and nailed to the wind...

My new story “Funny Thing About The Hands…” just dropped on Uncharted Magazine! I’m so excited to be part of this publication!

Unsolicited writing advice, no. 1675:
It really helps to love what you do. If you don't, then there are lots of far easier ways of dying poor.

Unsolicited writing advice, no. 7:
If you find it hard to get into the zone, you may need a sensory trigger. A “getting ready” song on your phone; a square of dark chocolate; a special scent; a series of movements. See which one works best, and keep using it. It will work faster every time you do.

I wake up & it breaks my heart. I draw the blinds & the thrill of rain breaks my heart. I go outside. I ride the train, walk among the buildings, men in Monday suits. The flight of doves, the city of tents beneath the underpass, the huddled mass, old women hawking roses, & children all of them, break my heart. There’s a dream I have in which I love the world. I run from end to end like fingers through her hair. There are no borders, only wind. Like you, I was born. Like you, I was raised in the institution of dreaming. Hand on my heart. Hand on my stupid heart.
