A starfield filled with thousands of stars and shining clouds of dust. The Milky Way\u2019s elegant spiral structure is dominated by just two arms wrapping off the ends of a central bar of stars. Spanning more than 100,000 light-years, Earth is located along one of the galaxy\u2019s spiral arms, about halfway from the center. Credit: NASA
OH. MY. GOD.
THIS IS THE MILKY WAY SHOT BY THE ARTEMIS II CREW. LOOK AT ALL THOSE STARS!!!!
Come on then, and remove him.
From Clickhole's "Incredible! We Asked These Astronauts What It’s Like To Be In Space," Barry Wilmore: You never know true beauty until you see Earth from space, or true terror until you hear someone knocking on the space station door from outside. You look through the porthole and see an astronaut, but all your crew is inside and accounted for. You use the comm to ask who it is and he says he’s Ramirez returning from a repair mission, but Ramirez is sitting right next to you in the command module and he’s just as confused as you are. When you tell the guy this over the radio he starts banging on the door louder and harder, begging you to let him in, saying he’s the real Ramirez. Meanwhile, the Ramirez inside with you is pleading to keep the airlock shut. It really puts life on Earth into perspective.
One of the very best from Clickhole

when we're all unable to connect to use the internet, send emails, pay our bills, use our toasters, and god knows what else if AWS goes down, i want you to know now that i blame our lack of antitrust laws far more than i'll blame a foreign missile
a medieval style digital drawing of an androgynous brown-skinned knight on horseback on a hill, stabbing a long gold spear into a blue dragon on the ground. the knight has a gold halo behind their head and wears a suit of silver armor with a nonbinary flag striped tunic and a trans flag as a cape. their horse is white, with blue tack with trans pride trim. there is black gothic text at the top and bottom of the image reading “A world without trans people has never existed and never will.” there’s an ornate pale blue border around the image, filled with pink and blue scrollwork, gold hearts filled with colorful flowers, a smiley bat, two smiley moles, and two smiling frogs holding up trans flags.
a world without trans people has never existed and never will
So you're thinking to yourself, "these trans people are so visible today, but how can I help them?" 🏳️⚧️
Well have I got a book you can buy to mitigate your guilt at not seeing me the rest of the year! As a bonus, it's horror, and you'll look super cool reading it: ecwpress.com/products/wit...
On Trans Day of Visibility, read something free by me:

"There’s dysphoria, and then there’s turning into a mid-size city."
It's Trans Day of Visibility today. If you're trans and are raising money for something (I don't care what it is), reply to this thread and I will boost you.
If you are a cis person, take a look and find someone to support if you can.
Everyone give this a share after.
a reminder that HR 7661, the national book banning bill, has passed the house education committee. the federal government is trying to tell YOU and YOUR kids what you're allowed to read.
Call your rep NOW to tell them to vote NO on HR 7661

Grainy green background with neon green text that says 'Murder Bimbo, like if Luigi Mangione was a sex worker' (although Luigi Mangione is not guilty as we all know so this alleged comparison is moot of course), with the book cover for Murder Bimbo in the middle
