Musk's AI roasting the fuck out of him. It's mostly the kind of mid insult you'd expect but in a rare move it's actually got some bangers in there. Full transcript in comments.

Scrivener’s dictionary is just abysmal. It’s worse than no dictionary at all.

Ursula K. Le Guin quote: "I would go so far as to say that the natural, proper, fitting shape of the novel might be that of a sack, a bag. A book holds words. Words hold things. They bear meanings. A novel is a medicine bundle, holding things in a particular, powerful relation to one another and to us."

Thanks to @suchmayer.bsky.social for this bookmark from London's Burley Fisher Books, with a quote from Le Guin's brilliant "Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction."

Seriously, how much more evidence do they need that it was planned, calculated, executed, and that Trump was at the top? Is 1001 people saying the same thing weightier than 1000?

I think I've glanced back at Twitter once since leaving a few months ago. Back then I was seeing the same thing, plus a bunch of toxic fascist sympathizers who came crawling out of the woodwork. Over here at least the air is fresh, for now.

JFC. This makes my head hurt.

Agreed. Some minor flaws, but totally fun. Kamala Khan steals the show. And kitties.

I'm writing a whole book about this for a client and I'm afraid it's only barely going to scratch the surface of how toxic and oppressive it is.

There are a lot of #scifi #authors around here. This is a thought-provoking video on the state and future of AI. As a science fiction writer myself, I'm still processing mine. What are yours?

I’ve been struggling with this for years. I’ve had some modest success but nothing close to yours. It’s the same struggle though. I often remind myself that I could be putting books out till I die and never have any real “breakout” success, no matter how good they are.
