More cursed Gorogoa mechanics. This one hurts my brain.

Working on my deterministic simulator for Gorogoa. I just got to the clock tower puzzle, and I never realized how cursed the compass card mechanics are. I'm gonna have to add physics to the simulation just for this one card.

I can't sleep without something filling my head and crowding out my thoughts.

Blender actually has a full-featured video editor these days. It grew out of the Open Movie Project (studio.blender.org/films).

Right now it assumes all moves happen instantaneously, to simplify the algorithm a bit so I can prove the concept. Once I have the whole game modeled and solved for the simpler case, I'll need to go through and time all the interactions, then adapt the algorithm to take time into account.

The game engine is fully data-driven, with interactions modeled in a big YAML file that I wrote out by hand while going through the game. I've modeled through Act 3 for testing so far.

I'm working on a solver to compute a mathematically-proven optimal speedrun for Gorogoa, a card puzzle game. I made a playable text-based simulator to test the minimal game engine I built for it. It's written in Rust and super fast: on my laptop, it can simulate 4.2 million moves/sec per CPU core!

Google is so broken now. I searched "balena update lock" (looking for info about a balenaOS feature), and by the second page of results I was getting ads for purses, weather forecasts for Montreal, and far-right propaganda.

What can I do about this? 𝘊𝘢𝘯 I do anything about this? It's stressing me out 😣

I get several calls a day from "AgencyCPR" (agencycpr.com, I think?), from different local numbers to evade blocking. If I answer, they hang up immediately, and then I get a call from Allstate trying to sell me auto insurance. I don't have a car. I've told them this, but they won't stop.

A neighbor in our building installed a Ring camera pointed at the building entryway, and now I can't go in or out of my own home without being logged by a corporate mass surveillance system. As far as I can tell, there's no legal recourse because it's a "public space". 😣
