Not sure I like this. I mean one of the main causes of extinction is converting other biomes into farmland, and the desert is an ecosystem like any other. Food = good, Holocene extinction = bad. We don't need more arable land, we need better logistics. We can already produce enough food for all.

Sadly, it's not that simple. I've already been having to pick up overtime to make ends meet and try to pay off the tax bill that the killing of the ACA subsidies caused. If work is open, I really can't afford not to go. Them shuttering operations for the day would be my only legitimate excuse.

Searching for a job is such a toxic fucking mess nowadays. The vast, overwhelming majority of available positions are posted by staffing agencies that offer absolutely no benefits, it's difficult to even find positions because there are dozens of places they can be posted, and AI. Full stop.

Driving tip: If people have to slam on their brakes to avoid rear-ending you when you pull out, you are in the wrong, you are at fault for any accidents you're in, and you deserve any lawsuits/injuries/totaled cars your shitty driving gets you.
