Though we can never know what it’s like to be inside another person’s mind, I believe you must be broken on a fundamental level to find joy in another person’s suffering.

The occasional bit of Schadenfreude is one thing, but to derive amusement from the dehumanization of others is a sickness.

Next Sunday I get to be the *guest* musician at my church. I’m pretty excited about it, because the idea of a trans woman getting up and singing an old-school Baptist hymn to a room full of Presbyterians amuses me. #church #trans
