Thereās a good case to be made that no other domain of technology in history comes close to the progress in aviation. Look at cars in comparison.
Maybe because there was the most room to grow with aviation. The whole universe. Also we sank massive resources into it.

Well said. I think we inherited these materialistic thinking constructs masquerading as science , progress , and even commoditising values and our norms.
We lack spiritual depth when we reduce ourselves to production, we need creation to nurture us and solve tragedies of the common.+accountability
The way these 'design/fashion' objects come into being plays a huge role in our purpose for him
The artisinal craft of these things get's us to feel good about our labour.
Artisans being estranged from the process leaves us feeling empty at our mass production jobs..
Too many bullshit jobs!
Maybe it plays a bigger role than i thought.
Fashion could be good way to express ourselves and elevate mankind yet it's in a sad state, where branding reigns supreme. Pun intended.
Alas, I've yet to read Hegel but I think Marxs view of purpose through labour and shaping our world is relevant too,
200-300 was in 2019 or something, if its 400-500 now it seems exagerated. Ill fucking try it , and see for myself.
but as a 2000 lichess player and hater of chess.com dont tell me i cant beat 2050 fide players OTB because I have lmao.
Lichess is definitly inflated , but you're talking shit and you know it.
The digital network misses the amfitheatral structure of conventional mass-media that bundled themes relevant to the entirity of civilisation. The amphiteatral structure of the mass-media made way for the Rhizomatic structure of digital media. It has no center.

Good points.
I deem optimising the world to minimise contact with eachother as also contributing to this problem. I prefer being a recluse however.
The internet brought micro leverage to consumers, you have more options and possibilities to choose from. Great.
But the internet can be better.
I've posted some things regarding this as one of my very few posts here. I'm not stopping, in fact i've gotten much more written and friends with expertise. Despite this, it's a difficult challenge, i hope to gain more support in these endavors.
Won't speak to soon, but I will try and deliver.
Psychologists being employed by digital enterprises to succesfully fight for your attention, your data, your money.
Now amplified by AI, it has given a disproportionate advantage to the corporations.
Self-improvement has become harder than ever.
Psychology has become treasonous.
Intelectual scam
Historicly speaking, psychology always had trouble seperating themselves from the corporate world.
It started with treatment revolving just around patient's career,
Despite having won some grounds, the corporations only grew stronger and wove more intricate with the personal lives.
Psychologists have no concrete answer to explain it.
Some find themselves trapped within a corrupt body of pseudoscience that is unable to explain human behavior.
Those who deliver treatment are still chained by monetary incentives,
No insurance money without diagnoses.
+ money from medications
Suicide statistics for all demographics have --on average--risen about 30% in the last 20 years. (USA)
My thread below, the teenage trend, explains part of it.
To add, 60.000+ veterans commited suicide.
For every 1% unemployment, 40k~ people die.
920 of which are suicides.
What else?
I'm not against technology, just against business as usual.
Our data, their targets,
When they hit targets, real damage is done
Zero accountability.
Algorithms paid for by technocrats have made us lose the first encounter to AI. They profit of our insecurities, pains, and bring out the worst in us
Social medias such as Instagram started in 2010.
Correlation =/= causation but I see no other explanation.
The particular business model entailed by technocrats such as Zuckerberg is making us vulnerable and profitable.
Teenage girls are especially affected, their self-harm statistics rose sharpest
Around the early 2000s , levels for suicide, self-harm and hospital admissions remained somewhat level in the US/Canada/Australia and others.
Between 2010/2015 suicide statistics for teenagers doubled.
Increases in self-harm, hospital admissions are between 50 and 150%, depending on the groups.
To top it off,
Bethlam & other asylums were a place where many husbands brought their wives who suffered from hysteria or 'hysteria'.
It was completely legal to ditch your wife there, if she was sane at the start, she'd have lost it within weeks.
Brutal display of patriarchy , yet forgotten.
This was one of several appalling discoveries made by inspectors at Londonās Bethlem āmadhouseā in 1814.
Imagine trying to recover when you're treated worse than dogs.
Chained, naked, cold, filthy and unventilated rooms. then to top it off, your caregivers give tours to strangers like it's a zoo.
āOne can hardly imagine a human being in a more degraded and brutalised condition than that in which I found this female.ā The woman, Anna Stone, had been found naked, filthy and chained with several others against the wall of a damp, dark stone cell.
Mental patients we're mistreated more often than not untill the 20th century, and even then it was a tragedy,
Asylums bearing more resemblance to a dog kennel than a building meant to house humans.
Bethlem was europe's first Asylum (1400s)
To pay for the upkeep they sold tickets to the public.
Here a female patient at the Salpêtrière hospital in Paris has had her diagnosis 'Démence précoce' (dementia praecox) 'written' on her back.
