"Yes, please!" - Europeans want more renewables.
Polling across 6 EU countries shows 60% support maintaining or accelerating the rollout.

With the dangers of our addiction to fossil fuels being clearer with every price hike, big flood, heatwave, or fire, there are solutions, but for some - solar/wind - there are urgent investments to make asap : see Grid bottlenecks threaten 120 GW of planned renewables share.google/nwlkKdkNjYxd...
For an EU that prides itself on the rule of law, 2025 was a worrying year - conditions deteriorated most in the democratic “checks and balances” pillar: independent NGOs & civil society being able to organise, challenge decisions and hold governments to account. www.theguardian.com/law/2026/mar...

Encouraging development. A bit of sanity and sense in these insane times. Save money, support energy autonomy, independence from fossil fuel war supporting madness, and doing one'd bit to avoid the worse of the climate crisis.
Wind and solar power contributed over 50% of EU's electricity last year. In the context of the energy crisis this has proven to be wise at multip’e levels. In the current energy crisis, rapidly expanding renewables and electrification of homes & industry is key. www.theguardian.com/environment/...
Good to have fine fine music and a history lesson to start the weekend.
⚠️ High prices? Cut demand, not taxes.
Oil & gas prices are soaring again, and governments are proposing to cut taxes, cap prices, and subsidise consumption.
But prices are high because fossil fuel supply has dropped. You don’t fix that by pretending energy is cheap, you fix it by using less of it!
What are the facts about renewable energy in times of war? -Countries that invested in renewable energy in 2022 are better able to withstand the current fuel crisis. So what should policies support asap now? www.euronews.com/2026/03/20/e...
Spain's renewables build-out has structurally decoupled its electricity prices from gas markets. Gas now sets the price in only 15% of hours, compared to 90% in Italy.
Countries that invested early in clean power are far less exposed to fossil fuel price shocks. Those that didn't now pay the price.
