I believe he is strongly influenced by his wife and daughter on the ‘trans’ issue. He may genuinely believe people can change sex, but I suspect the real reason he advocates for cross-dressing men in women’s spaces/sportsis that he is, at heart, a misogynist and trans ideology gives him a free pass.

He’s suggesting that non-white women will fail the test, he seems to think it’s some kind of femininity competition. He not only exposes his ignorance of the test (presence or otherwise of an SRY gene, irrelevant to skin colour) but outs himself as a racist.

The IOC’s decision to protect the female category is a victory for fairness | Tanya Aldred Trans and DSD athletes must be treated with respect, and the new testing regime must be run with sensitivity. But this is a step forward, says Guardian sports writer Tanya Aldred

The science shows if you have gone through male puberty, you must compete in the male cohort. Sport only works if you hold a category space. The IOC’s decision, rightly, gives safety, fairness & dignity back to the female class.

I watched that a couple of days ago. Who would have guessed that a TIM would be sitting in a women’s toilet with the door open and his lady dick on show?

I’m very disappointed with Starmer, even though I voted for him in the leadership election 🤦‍♀️, but I just don’t think there’s anybody better at the moment. Possibly Wes Streeting or Shabana Mahmoud, but I don’t think they stand a chance.

For most of history men who went into women-only spaces were, quite rightly, viewed with suspicion, because they were potential predators. This is safeguarding, and breaking down these long-standing social conventions to pander to cross-dressing men puts women at risk.

Same story - about the Internation Olympic Commitee's decision on mandatory sex testing for female athletes - in the Guardian UK, and the Guardian US.

The test (simple cheek swab) checks for the presence of the SRY gene, which only men have. Black women, like other women, don’t have this gene, so won’t fail the test. You not only fail to understand the test but appear to suggest that black women aren’t ’feminine‘ enough, which is incredibly racist

'Overwhelmingly, the IOC decision is what female athletes want. The last time there was a large survey of female athletes was after the Atlanta Games in 1996. Out of a cohort of 928, 82% of women wanted to continue with sex screening ... the authorities then did the opposite.'
Excellent piece.

Protection against defamation I am a barrister and member of campaigning group Fair Cop. I do not believe it is possible to change sex and we should have the right to talk about this.

You'll be waiting a long time for the BSB to do anything. But he is being sued for defamation by a female barrister. Joly of course was hoping she was financially backed by JKR but she isn't. Support her here www.crowdjustice.com/case/protect...

I always book the extra legroom seats on a flight, even though neither myself or my partner are tall, or have particularly long legs. I just like the extra space between me and the seat in front.

Guidance for service providers on single-sex services In the light of the For Women Scotland judgment.

1/3 This is for anyone who still doesn't understand the law on single-sex spaces or that discrimination can be positive as well as negative.
I don't believe any of my male friends would consider intruding into a women's single-sex space. My father wouldn't have understood it.

A picture of a rather dilapidated copy of "The picture of Dorian Gray" There is visible water damage to the cover and the plastic cover is yellowing. Obviously, not evident from the picture but there is a truly foul musty smell emanating from it!

Last week, a gentleman returned this rather dilapidated copy of this famous book to us after 50 years. He had found it in his attic!
Presumably this means there is a pristine copy somewhere in our libraries....

I'm not sure they can afford to be isolates. Gender identity is essentially a performative quality: without an audience, it doesn't exist in any meaningful sense. That's why calls to 'leave trans people alone' are disingenuous. It is vital to them that the rest of us actively affirm their delusions.
