We’re 100 today.

On 17 March 1926, the University of Reading was granted its Royal Charter.

Now, we wake up 100 years later as a global university, shaped by generations of students, staff, alumni and partners who have built something extraordinary together.

Happy 100th anniversary to us. #UoR100

A stark band of deep red stripes on the right-hand side of the graphic shows the rapid heating of our planet in recent decades.

No words. No numbers. No graphs.

Just a series of vertical coloured bars, created by @edhawkins.org showing the progressive heating of our planet since 1850 in a single, striking image.

Blue shows cooler-than-average years, while reds are hotter than average.
