I’m quite enjoying Mason Mount making me eat my words.

He was absolutely brilliant tonight. Lots of nice ‘first time’ stuff he was doing really sped up our passing.

I also think he makes this system work so much better by essentially being another body in midfield.

Excellent game from Heaven, he's a special talent

Some decent performances tonight, especially second half. I hope Mount stays injury free, he's top class. I thought Heaven had a good game. Losing players to Afcon will be interesting but we're not the only club with players there. Let's take the positives from tonight and build on it 🇾🇪 #GGMU

And those Mount and Mbuemo goals were just perfect 😮‍💨 #MUFC

It’s only wolves but regardless it was still good to watch. Bruno proving why he’s our best player, Mount impressing again, Kobbie getting some minutes. All in all it was a great night for us #MUFC

Bruno hasn’t even been at United 6 full calendar years and he has more Premier League assists than Scholes sitting 4th in United’s all time list. Doesn’t detract from Scholes but certainly does indicate the quality of Bruno’s passing and chance creation #MUFC

Zirkzee is offering nothing currently in the final 3rd. Needs to get with it or he’s off 2nd half #MUFC

Insane from Gueye in the moment to raise a hand to your teammate. Unsure if it warranted a sending off but I’m not complaining. Need all the luck we can get #MUFC

Van Dijk should leave the football before the football leaves him 🤣

We have to capitalise on today’s results. With Arsenal and Spurs yet to play it could be a massive weekend for us #MUFC

8 losses in his last 11 games if they don’t turn this around. Slot in sacking territory 🤡

Personally I think we play Bruno in the 10 with Sesko out and push Cunha up top. Kobbie takes over that centre midfield spot hopefully. Not sure that’s how Amorim will work it but we will see #MUFC

Yeah I might’ve worded it badly in the original post on 2nd look 🤝

Yeah I can dig that, both world class in different ways. Both walk into any team in the history of football in my opinion. Shame we never saw them line up together

I didn’t say he was objectively a better goalscorer. I said he scores more often than Ronaldo, which is objectively true. Subjectively, I think Messi is the better player but the point of my post was to mock the use of the statistic not use it to prove Messi is better

I agree I think most people have a preference but neither is objectively better. Glad to have to seen them both play live. Messi only once but Ronaldo many times

Yeah both giants of the game however you slice it

5 months ago 1 0 1 0

I know there’s variables, like how Messi has played out wide his entire career whereas Ronaldo has spent many years at centre forward. However, my point is just that it shouldn’t be automatically given that Ronaldo is a better goalscorer in a debate

They are. The top statistic includes Saudi and USA goals. The bottom statistic doesn’t. Messi has more goals per minute using both metrics

Always found the argument Ronaldo is a better goalscorer than Messi strange considering Messi scores more often than him

Yeah Lacey likely the closest to breaking through

5 months ago 2 0 0 0

Oh yeah no doubt JJ and Kai are at least 2/3 seasons away

5 months ago 1 0 0 0

Would love to see either JJ Gabriel or Kai Rooney break into the squad in the next few seasons. Not a fan of the lack of academy representation currently. Shea Lacey is another one I’m hopeful for sooner rather than later. Need some United DNA in this team #MUFC

Fair enough but have to disagree generally, Barcelona days especially showed his talents, his numbers were immense and he stepped up in big games. 2015 when they won the treble he scored home and away in the quarters and semis and then again in the final of the champs league
