A picture of two boxers. Below it is the caption 'STING named official boxing equipment provider for Glasgow 2026'
Don't ask him how he came by it, but he's got a van full and he does a really good deal. It's okay though 'cos he used to be in the Police. #stingsboxingequipment #glasgow2026 #sting #thepolice

It's a bit like with the Mandalorean stuff. The less you know, the more mystique. The more they show, they all seem like cultish idiots.

Started watching Predator Badlands. The film is sooo CGI heavy that at what point do you just not decide to do it fully animated? And it lifts you out of the film. And as much as I love the first Predator, I'm really not interested in learning about Predator 'culture'. #jimsfilmreviews #predator

Finished Doom: The Dark Ages. Great fun. If it's not broke etc. If you need to de-stress then shoot a load of demons in the face, very satisfying. All the interactions are pleasingly physical. #doom #ps5 #gaming

Life Aquatic. (Rewatch) That and Tenenbaums are so good, and so much better than Anderson's recent films which are like a pastiche of himself. Defoe is great, and there are lots of lovely character moments. Ping Island still rocks, that tune has its cake and eats it. #lifeaquatic #jimsfilmreviews

An image from Google Maps. It shows a Prague street. in the centre is what looks like a floating ball of hair.

I've been doing some research into locations in Prague using Google Maps, and either the guy who was tasked to take the photos got the camera position wrong, or there's a small hairy ghost haunting large swathes of the city.

Conclave (tv). Very enjoyable. For what is a dialogue film I thought it was beautifully filmed, great acting, some great shots. The intrigue keeps you interested. Loved the soundtrack, I wish more films would be braver with their music/audio choices #jimsfilmreviews #conclave

Tonally similar to The Martian, with the same successes and flaws. A little to much 'personality' at times, and they sometimes push the science and credulity too far

Hail Mary (2026) at cinema. Hype was justified, really enjoyable, nice light touch but also makes you care. Felt like there were a lot of practical effects which helps to ground it.

Two archaeologists stand in a trench looking at an unearthed, fossilised, time machine and a tyrannosaurus skull in whose jaws is a human skeleton holding an aerosol can. One says: “These fossils would appear to suggest that, while Professor Cooper's time machine was a great success, his dinosaur repellent formula was not.”
