Wishing I had taken more food photos of our time in Amsterdam. Too busy enjoying myself 🤣

She's had an interview and then an offer which she has accepted! She's very excited x
Tried to be kind by trekking across our school field to give the tree surgeons a cuppa. Didn't realise I was so muddy until I looked back at the carpet of my office. Oops #lifeofaheadteacher
Anyone else relieved that the snow worry is over the weekend, not first thing Monday morning?
Another open day with our daughter. This time Edge Hill. I had an interview here 30 years ago and it's changed a lot! Beautiful campus.
Feel bad that I haven't donated blood before especially as I'm O negative. But I have and already booked my second appointment for February.
No idea why Derbyshire school holidays haven't aligned with the rest of the country, but we finally have our first day back with the children today. So the first proper day in my new role as headteacher. Exciting times.
Very proud of our new library! Can't wait until the children finally get to see it on Monday.
Hope everyone has a great first day back. And everyone who works in an authority like mine, with crazy return to school dates, enjoy the last few days of your holiday!
Loved loved loved sixth form for friendships then went to uni and felt overwhelmed. However loved learning at uni more.
Yep in a LEA primary as are most primary schools in Derbyshire. Secondary schools are mostly MAT though
Saw bags of play sand reduced in Sainsburys to 50p but unfortunately I had walked to the shops and there was no way I was carrying one home. Sent a photo to our FS teacher and literally 5 mins later she sent me the second photo after buying 6 bags 🤣
We were on St Agnes one of the days. Next time!
1. Isles of Scilly
2. Annual family holiday
3. Definitely but unfortunately not next year
Had a boy in my class last year who practised so much that he was not only able to solve the Rubik's cube in minutes, he also was able to make different country's flags. It was my favourite act in our talent show this year.
Beautiful Issigeac in the Dordogne
Just made all these lovely new (and some not so new) connections with folk but now switching off for a week while in sunny France.
Yes I'm excited and nervous too.
Hello!
I'll let you know which one after a few weeks 🤣
Sorry didn't realise I wasn't following you. Just followed
Thanks. I'm sure I will have a long list of questions.
Thank you!
Love this and might pinch the idea for our new library
I am hoping the move to #edusky will be better for my feed and encourage me to post more. I start a new role in my school in September as acting headteacher so need the support!
@missiebee.bsky.social I've joined on your recommendation!
