I do think this is the essence of the Trumpism value statement:

We are real Americans - you are not. This justifies everything we do.

Agreed

The question is a test about whether someone would speak truth to power (in this case, Trump).

He wouldn't here, so he wouldn't elsewhere

This is what actually supports the law - when people know they will *actually* face consequences, they work within the law.

The law doesn't enforce itself; the sense they might face consequences does.

Unfortunately, add the adjective “Republican” or “Democratic” before the word “president” and we get more clarity for why the cases are treated so differently.

The Court isn’t making the decision; the people on the Court make the decisions, and it appears the President’s party matters to some.

“bulldozer” - wow…

Rushing to a decision before any facts or lower court rulings can properly inform that decision…

That is outcome-based decision making and doesn’t serve the country well.

Phenomenal reporting.

Happy 50th anniversary to “All the President’s Men” — a film that owes its existence to Redford, who bought the film rights, developed the script and cajoled a reluctant Woodward & Bernstein.

I thought it was “a great character study,” he said later. But, for months, “they didn’t return my calls.”

Democrats should not merely focus on Trump; find some Republicans and elect a new Speaker.

The GOP enablers allowed this crisis to get this far.
