Thanks. Not on this but I do know her. I’ve been lucky enough to speak to the son of one of the nurses, who was a mindfield of information.
Trying to get inside the head of a nurse…
One who worked 80 years ago in occupied Guernsey.
I’m a nurse too. But her world? Nothing like mine.
No electronics. Often no electricity. No dressings. Few medicines. Little food.
Just instinct, and decisions no one could train for.
There’s no stopping you! Congratulations x
If you could spend just one more day with someone, who would it be?
I'm excited to reveal the title of my next novel, out later this year!
It's about Lili, her best friend Em, and an unexpected friendship with a man called Dylan.
The setting is winter in Cornwall⛵️❄️

What are you reading for #InternationalWomensDay ?
I'm reading Nesting by Roisin O'Donnell and it's kind of perfect

Fabulous cover, Kristie x
A book titled 'Drystone - A Life Rebuilt'. It's cover has 5 large colourful stones on it. At the top a green one which leans on a purple and a ochre stone which lean on a blue and a slate grey stone with a pink background. On the green, yellow and blue stones the words 'A Life Rebuilt' are written.
Well, here is it. The cover for my book 'Drystone – A Life Rebuilt'.
The colours are bold because this isn't a quiet story. The stones aren't placed neatly because this story isn't neat.
Pre-orders now. Out August 7, 2025.
