Now that I've beaten DQVIIR, I've come to the conclusion that physical skills are really fun and all, but I don't think every RPG needs them.

They gotta start making RPGs with characters who regular attack real good again
Tbh I think the biggest changes RPR needs are not losing Shroud gauge on death and Perfectio should give Soul gauge
They should call it EarthBound
The "Give me a game and I'll give you my honest opinion on it." interaction bait because I am not immune.

I'm exaggerating, but I was so surprised to find someone running it and the fact that it worked against me had me in hysterics. I was actually dumbfounded lol

To elaborate on the last sentence a little more, there are a lot of things it has that like playing a video game I'm like "okay yeah this is fine," but since it's Fire Emblem I feel more "I wish this was done differently"
This is like at least the seventh time I've played the game, but I'm right before Snowcap Mountain. (Worth noting I always do the volcano before it cause I like getting Duster back in my party right away)
Very influential game in my teenage years and it remains one of my favorites for that reason. It's also just plain fun to play and run around doing stuff like fighting unique monsters or just doing random side quests. Shulk is an awesome protagonist as well.
I'm long over my hater phase, but it's still not really for me. My biggest issues remain the Mystery of the Emblem retcons and more gimmicky characters, but there are things that I think it does well. I think it works better as a standalone game than a Fire Emblem game if that makes any sense.
happy 20th anniversary to Mother 3!
The story is TRUE. No notes.
Zelda 2 is very fascinating to me. I can't say I enjoy it a lot, but it's a very interesting game and I find its RPG elements to be really cool. I also like watching Vin randomize it every Thanksgiving lol
