I consider Death to be a debuff... though in this, and numerous cases, Death could just be functionally incapable of doing anything else mechanically and would need outside help~ vwv/
Death on the table cuz... well, essentially being near an eldritch being would usually have... consequences~ >w<
If someone rolls really well, they would probably get debuffs that might give them something beneficial, like Enraged to reduce incoming damage by half, but would force them to attack.
On a table of debuffs, it's all negative, rolling good would just be slightly less bad than... death / zero'd HP~

Fear - You have disadvantage on attacking, if you miss, you roll to take damage.
Enraged - Reduce incoming damage by half and increase damage by 3, but you are not able to take any non-combative actions for the duration.
Fecund - Weaker to Nature magic.
