And if u buy an upgraded seat and for some reason they move u or it’s not available, you’re not getting a refund. Get bumped off onto a different flight? Seat upgrade gone. It’s all a racket.
Bluesky before Claude code/Bluesky after Claude code
Damn it, meant to caption this with the Blind Pig I’m enjoying.
Millennial woman in beignet Mickey ears holding a yellow cup with a beer and wearing a navy tie dye spirit jersey in front of the guardians of the galaxy ride.
This is a real “why not both?” scenario
She’s was right, and she was right to say it! The only thing she did wrong was not calling them “Kavanaugh stops.”
I know I know this is off topic and at the risk of being that type of Bluesky user I’m gonna go off topic anyway. Anyone with a love of hand pulled noodles should read Automatic Noodles by Analee Newits. It’s about robots, but also noodles, & it’s such a delightful important story.
this is what teenagers in movies looked like during the iraq war
A week ago, Pam Bondi is fired, yesterday DOJ says she won’t testify at the Epstein hearing on April 14th, and today Melania makes this statement about Epstein.
Sure seems like we’re gonna be getting some disturbing breaking news about this admin’s ties to child sex trafficking.
Ok I thought we all agreed we’re not going to post the worst takes in the world from other apps on here. If I wanted to read the worst takes in the world, I’d be on Twitter. And if u do, at least add some insightful info— just being like wow this guy sucks isn’t useful.
Shame and eternal shame, nothing but shame!
I feel like the genocide in Palestine and the murder of unarmed civilians off the coast Venezuela were tests to see how tolerant of war crimes Americans were before the US went into Iran to begin another genocide. Unfortunately, there were no consequences, so the admin remains undeterred.
I love this book, and the ebook is available online at all the usual places, including bookshop.org bookshop.org/p/books/the-...

Interesting podcast that had me wondering how much of what we read anymore is an article written by a person with real research/interviews/voices & how much is fake AI slop dressed up to look legitimate. It worries me we can’t always tell & that some don’t care. www.kcrw.com/shows/questi...
another AI writing scandal. it's always the ones you most suspect, huh? afeteworsethandeath.substack.com/p/new-writin...
I didn't have much of an opinion about Andy Weir before this week, beyond knowing I wanted to read his books at some point, but I sure have seen enough in the past few days to have a not-great opinion now.
Don’t forget to block bsky.app/profile/atti... everyone
If you do one thing for yourself, please read a book. Bonus points if that book is written by someone who looks nothing like you.
I wrote a thing, please don't yell at me
For the curious, here’s the offending brief. The attorney who signed it is Andrew Abrams who per LinkedIn had his own shingle for years before going to JAG briefly & then to DOJ this January. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
I have encountered this— attorneys charging $$$ to file loser AI slop mxns or hiring an expert who drafted a fake declaration with fake AI cites. It’s absolutely disgusting to prey on desperate people & give them this in return.
Honestly, what’s the worse admission: that you used AI and submitted a brief you didn’t read/cite check or that you intentionally lied about what a case stood for to gain an advantage and thought the judge would be too dumb to notice?
Stereotypical French man with beret and twirly mustache and striped shirt holding baguette and wine glass with the name Claude superimposed over him (as in theAI)
Claude strikes again.
I’m a lawyer doing appellate work and a lot of court records from as late as the late 90s were handwritten. So are a lot of documents used for evidence or produced in discovery. Maybe that’s phasing out but I can’t imagine if I had to have someone translate for me because I didn’t know cursive.
