Thanks for the feature @dev.to! Published a blog post on my Decision-linked development idea & exploration
Posts by Jimmy Utterström
Still VERY early with no fine-tuning applied, but it shows some promising signs. Decisions are tightly coupled to code via @decision annotations. When an agent hits one, it looks up the reasoning before changing anything. No intuition needed, just a mechanical trigger.
After trying several spec-driven development approaches, I'm building an alternative take: Decision-Linked Development. An immutable decision log is the foundation, specs are derived projections. Built to work in environments with mixed agentic and manual development.

Profile photo of common ringed plover on a sandy beach
Ringed plover, archive photo from June last year. I'm starting to long for spring migration! 🐦 #birds #photography
Closeup of blue tit perched on a snowy branch, facing the camera. White background.
It has been an unusually cold January, more days than usual around -20C. Haven't taken a lot of photos, but here's a blue tit from Saturday 🐦 #birds #photography
someone should build a website to receive alerts when github is up
Since I'm already chaotically mixing Bluesky for birds, software engineering etc. I can as well mix it up even more 😆 Here's an old Christmas-themed Swedish folk song I recorded today, merry Christmas! ✨

Lovely way to start off the Christmas with some aurora, unfortunately phone pics 😊
Nice one!
Intending to use @gleam.run for a side project I first started in Java. I was checking some docs & videos as a refresher since I last used Gleam for AoC 2024 and stumbled upon this video by @giacomocavalieri.me: www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfPI... Highly recommended, such a smooth & polished talk! ✨
Profile close-up of a swimming female merganser against an out of focus background of reeds in muted yellow.
Swimming female merganser in a lake scene. Muted yellow vegetation can be seen in the background.
It's very little light outside now, and I don't have on of those F4 telephoto lenses 😅so instead of a fresh photo here's one from the archive. Female merganser from an early may morning this spring 😊 #birds #photography
Love it, beautiful! The curlew is the province bird here in Västerbotten, Sweden. We obviously see them in the summer though.
Close-up of coal tit perched on a thin snow-covered branch
Coal tit perched on a snowy branch. Cool bluish tones, snowfall.

We normally don't have coal tits (svartmes) around the house, but this autumn there have been three of them visiting the feeders 😊
However I know very few industry professionals who consider that a likely scenario in the near future. I think the lack of nuance in mainstream media is more likely to cause an imbalance and labor shortage in some areas that are at the moment on the "Stay away! will be replaced with AI!" lists.
it'd be naive to say that AI hasn't already made an impact on the software engineering industry. But there's a huge difference between an industry that is transforming and evolving and one that is disappearing. And it's easy to get the impression of the latter being the case from reading headlines.
The words of NVIDIA, Google and OpenAI executives are allowed to influence career guidance and forecasts of institutes that are supposed to have an objective and well-informed view.
I use AI tools more and more in my daily work, and...
It's insane how many news articles, about AI's future impact on professions and industries, are based on a single narrative from spokespersons or employees of companies that are making a huge bet on AI, and where selling a narrative is part of their marketing and survival strategy.
Close-up of Eurasian nuthatch perched on a pole. Neutral greytone background.
The Eurasian nuthatch can look elegant if it wants too, like here, but flashing its rear end to the camera is still one of its more preferred poses 😅 #birds 🪶
Eurasian blackcap facing the camera. It's positioned on a branch of a leafless bush with a light sprinkle of snowflakes.
A charming Eurasian blackcap (svarthätta), an uncommon visitor for the season and location 😊 Photo from today #birds 🪶
Are you okay Github? 🔴👀
Thanks a lot! 🙂
Nuthatch positioned at the entrance of their nest: a hole in the trunk of a larger tree. It's holding a number of freshly caught insects.

Blyth's reed warbler perched on a branch with bright green leaves against a clear blue sky backdrop
Blyth's reed warbler 🙂 Not the most common sight here. I heard and then saw one today at the same spot I observed one last year on June 12. They're great at mimicking other birds, super fun to listen to! This little guy pulled off a buzzard imitation that was good enough to convince Merlin 😄 #birds
Such a great capture! 🙌
Thank you! 😊🙏
Thanks a lot! 🙌
Thanks a lot! 🎉 I think we're usually photographers & birders looking at each other's photos 😉 but it's nice to hear that it sometimes brings joy to others too 😄🙏
Closeup of male Citrine wagtail in profile, perched on a branch.
#birds #photography #birding
This is not the common yellow wagtail, this is the Citrine wagtail, an Asian species that seems to be spreading west. And I was lucky enough to get the second reported observation ever of it in my municipality 🤩
Beautiful capture!
