I’m actually pretty lucky because my grandma was negative for the gene but her sister was positive and died from breast cancer (way before I was born). My mom’s was caught early and she only had radiation, no chemo.
Yep we start at 40 in the US. But also my mom had breast cancer so I’m considered higher risk even though she tested negative for the BRCA genes.
This is what I was going to say. Also my tech asked if this was my first one probably since I just turned 40 in October but if they don’t ask maybe mention it’s your first so they explain everything more. Also I was probably waiting in the changing room longer than the actual imaging took.
I’m on two BP meds and hoping to cut one because it makes my ankles and feet kind of swollen. I’ve cut my sodium intake and increased my physical activity. Hoping that will do the trick but haven’t talked to my doctor yet. My dad takes three BP meds so I definitely have a genetic predisposition.
I saw it in the middle of the day on a Friday so the audience was small and not great with reactions either (including a guy maybe on the phone or just talking to himself?) but loved the movie a lot.

My mom is obsessed with those books. She’s even listening (well watching on YouTube) an explainer podcast as she goes. I know I’ll give in and start the series eventually but I’m also resisting. I’m currently listening to The Will of the Many which is long but only two books so far.

Biiiiig Friday stretch!!! I’ll cheat and share a screenshot from Twitter from a few years go. Tonight Penny got spooked by something outside the apartment and jumped/ ran across my lap leaving a very painful scratch. So I think she’s still on high alert.
Now I’m thinking about Alan Rickman reprising the role of Metatron. Not the first time I’ve thought it but still sad it couldn’t happen.

I love it too (from inside). I caught this lightning strike on my phone background a few weeks ago although I think that was just a quick passing storm. The best part of hot humid summers are evening storms.
