The patent is so vague and broad that it basically seems to cover any RPG ever so I cannot imagine this being enforced without destroying the entire industry. So it's just a bizarre, aggressive waste of money that'll only target smaller studios who can't risk a battle with the big dogs. Nonsense.

3d render. a vinyl player with very rounded corners with a silvery bottom half and clear plastic top, a vinyl with a green sticker is playing. it's sitting on a wooden cube storage box and you can see 9 vinyl spines with different words and logos in a blue/green/yellow kind of colour palette

OpenAI doesn't realise that PhD-level expertise has very little to do with the stuff you know and more to do with how you can think. I forget facts from mine all the time!
The value in my PhD is knowing how to reliably generate, evaluate, and defend or dismiss information that's new to the world.

Full flat view of the sticker from the energy drink can above. As well as the bunny there's some sections that are normally on a can like nutritional info and barcode but the text is just made of abstract shapes or blocks. Some random little logos like a star with a smiley face and a triangle with a water drop in it.

3d render. 3 "bots" lined up in a row, in different colour schemes. The bot is labelled a "Bouncing Bean Buddy" and it's a capsule-shaped shiny plastic-y robot with different panels and buttons all over it. It has a screen on the front showing a cute smiley face. They're all coloured different pinks, purples, blues and greens.
