Dundonians, we are pretty amazing. Despite our city continuing to face many challenges, it goes back to the saying that was coined 60 years ago, it is a place of new hope.
When we face challenges, we confront them, and if we get knocked down, we get back up and come out stronger!
It is a place of new hope. It is a city that gets knocked down but gets back up on its feet again. From the bustling jute industry to becoming a global tech hub, Dundee has went through an extraordinary change
Dundee has made a HUGE impact on the world, the things we have invented, pioneered and developed is nothing short of incredible! The incandescent light bulb, statistical graphs, the postage stamp, aspirin, aviation to name just a few!

❤️🥰🏴 Next year marks 200 years since Bonnie Dundee was first written by Walter Scott. The poem, which was later adapted into a song was written in honour of John Graham of Claverhouse, Viscount Dundee, and equally refers to our bonnie town of Dundee! And it certainly is a bonnie wee place!

❤️❤️❤️ There is really a lot of newly revealed exciting projects going on at the moment! For a while, I did think progress on Dundee’s transformation had stagnated, but to have all of this revealed in the past two months is brilliant! It really is an exciting time for Dundee!
It has helped unemployed individuals gain access to work, helped raise awareness for the Dundee Bairns charity, and ticket prices have been reduced for families who might struggle with accessibility too!
This is the news we want to hear!
❤️🎄🥹 Absolutely wholesome to hear that Dundee’s Christmas Village has delievered strong community benefits since opening last month.
