I presume that anything that divides the West (particularly USA) the GRU will have been or will become involved. Moscow sees itself at war and is acting accordingly. We must recognize this as a constant in all that happens domestically or internationally
Additionally, as someone who has covered the Kremlin for 25 years. Be aware: The GRU will use this to exacerbate division between Americans. Be mindful of this.
I have been a war correspondent for nearly 30 years. I have covered over a dozen wars and conflicts. Those speaking of a civil war are speaking of things they do not know. Recklessly. Americans, by and large, do not know what war looks like. Cooler heads are needed now.
