i passed on that one, bc i own all the LPs and i was already spending so much, but i did cop ‘acoustic hits’ and i was lucky enough to stumble across an OG press of ‘concert.’ only live album left to get on vinyl now is ‘entreat plus,’ and maybe a decent collected peel sessions bootleg.

haven’t peeped yet, but i gotta say, ‘scrubs’ has replicated the sauce quite well.
how has this site existed for more than three months and yet i still see posts "from the Discover feed" from accounts that i already follow smdh.
how the heck is that a discovery, bsky?
"The new waterwheel they built to power the loom made the river undrinkable, and when the boss cut my hours in half, I couldn’t buy food anymore, which really made the whole rickets situation get out of hand. But that’s exactly the sort of time you need a laugh, right?"
When people are talking about their joys, that may be an act of trying not to drown in despair.
So perhaps think twice before bursting into their internet space to tell them why you hate something they love.
No one owes you a debate or discussion.
And you might just be tearing someone down.

Tim Curry, the absolute legend, turns 80 today. This man took huge swings.

scored the RSD reissue on vinyl today, just listened for the first time #musicsky @thecure.com
i’d like to see some progress on ibogaine and psychedelics, and this looks like that, but these are outliers amid a cavalcade of absolute batshit insanity.
otis one of the best to ever do it. this song is a goddamn masterpiece. #musicsky
but i think it's his most loved BECAUSE it's his Rock'n'Roll album. same reason the aforementioned "worst songs on 'the fragile'" are also high-performing singles. 'year zero' is fucking weird. 'the slip' got a nontraditional release, flew under a lot of radars.
'witha teetha' is the Regular Album that i revisit the least. i listen to the 'ghosts' releases & 'further down the spiral' more often. i respect what it was, how it was borne from his personal growth, getting sober/healthy, & i'm happy for him. it's his most loved LP, behind 'the downward spiral.'
maybe a hot take: 'the downward spiral' would be better without "big man with a gun."
another: all 'the fragile' singles but "the day the world went away" are the weakest songs on the LP & it would have been better with those swapped for the vinyl & cassette exclusive tracks. "10 miles high" fucks.
criminally underrated album. i feel like this and 'the slip' get slept on way too much. i like both of them so much more than 'witha teetha' or 'hesitation marks' or the 'tron: ares' soundtrack. the "trio of EPs" is fuckin' killer tho, on par with those two, by my lights. #musicsky
i just put mine on the turntable
“bUt ThErE aRe SpOtS oN tHe PlAzA” you mean the ones that are covered by the vendor booths when farm market happens every saturday?
i found two more accessible spots within 3 blocks of the farm market. three total. embarrassing.
here’s the state of the collection after today
got em! also got king crimson ‘larks tongue…,’ jackie wilson ‘mr excitement,’ a universal togetherness band comp, joy division ‘unknown pleasures,’ nick drake ‘pink moon,’ thou ‘umbilical’ & a holy grail item for my @thecure.com collection, ‘concert.’ #musicsky #recordstoreday #vinylsky
oh man, there are so many people waiting in line already. i was over 20m behind schedule bc super progressive arcata only has one accessible parking space within three blocks in any direction of their downtown farm market.
only running a few minutes behind schedule. have had the nine inch noize coachella soundtracking my morning.

it’s record store day! i’m hoping to score ‘acoustic hits’ by the cure and ‘tales from topographic tours’ by yes. #musicsky #vinylsky
“oh shit, that was a person”
