I am loving that La Voix is pushing hard to get the Strictly host job with absolutely no shame. I would definitely keep watching. #Strictly

With traveling to London every weekend for my PhD, the kids want to come too. We've come down together for half term. Night one: girl was sick in the air bnb. All over the bed, floor and her brother, who somehow was not woken up by the vomit pool around his head. Praying things get better from here!

But I didn't have to do that, all thanks to you.

Someone on this train keeps doing really smelly farts. Exactly how I wanted to finish my day.

I like the definition I've just heard of research and I'm writing it here to solidify it in my brain: A systematic pursuit of truth.

I am having the best time coming to London every week learning research methodologies and listening to other people's research. I feel so at home at Guildhall in a way I never thought I would. I am however, glad I'm doing this now and not at 18 as I think the imposter syndrome would have consumed me

My GP surgery has brought in an AI voice on their phone system. Do they hope we will lose the will to live and just hang up?

I've put a longer explanation on tiktok and Facebook for anyone remotely interested - but I'm dropping the stage name I've had for 18 years. I'm Michelle Louise Taylor going forwards.

even left sympathisers somehow don’t know that you cannot apply for asylum in a country without actually crossing its borders first. Did you know that? You have to actually be at a country’s borders physically to ask for protection, you cannot ‘apply’ in a bourgeois manner to let you in beforehand

Definitely the first, but I have had to correct young people every time I teach Shakespeare, because they say the second. It's not a very common word unless you work in legal circles.

I wanted to hate it because I love the original so much, but it's actually brilliant. I especially loved the portrayal of Anybodys.

On the hunt for a new bank. Starling rejected my application for a joint account with my partner with no explanation. We also have businesses so need a place that will do all 3 types of account and is also not morally bankrupt. Any personal recommendations? #banking #ethicalbanking #businessbanking

My brother used to sing "I've got one hand in my pocket and the other one down my pants" and in fairness it does still work.

Half-term is here, so obviously me and the kids are ill. No fun activities for us yet again. 😕

That's a bodywarmer (or gilet if you are feeling posh). Out of interest, what is a wife-beater known as in a formal setting?

A male model wearing a white vest. Vests are definitely underwear and not formal wear.

That's a waistcoat. This is a vest. I'm in North-West England.

Yeah, I ended up hospitalised with sepsis first time I had it. Do not recommend. Sending sympathy.

I liked it and found it useful for my oldest. The youngest was a law unto himself, unfortunately.

Just under an hour to go.

Had this cold/flu or whatever it is and been completely knocked out all weekend. It wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't had the same thing happen exactly a month ago. I can't seem to power through the way I used to. Am I just getting old?

In my current circumstances B) send me home. But isn't the whole point of the show that if your life is not worth living, the risk of losing it is worth taking? If my friends were answering A, I'd be very concerned.

So, kicking of 2025 with a little 2 minute film we made last year. I'm enjoying just being creative for the fun of it, rather than the hope it might lead to something. Most of my work nowadays is on the trials and tribulations of motherhood. Noseblind - Sunday 5th Jan 8pm GMT youtu.be/GX32Jewap2g

Did you see her on the last leg last night? She has absolutely milked this thing and good for her.

Ooh, I'll check it out. Thanks.

My only new years resolution for 2025 is to prioritise rest. To not see it as wasted time if I need to go to bed at 7pm or bingewatch a series to recharge. The idea that I constantly need to be hustling has only led to me feeling burned out and worthless and I don't want to do it anymore.
