I'm in the process of signing up to be a transcriber for this. As a person with energy issues, and an energy intensive job, I can't go to protests, so this is a great and accessible way for me to get involved.
I'm going to investigate and see if there's a UK equivalent too.
Help me keep art and justice alive by signing up to be a volunteer transcriber of written work by incarcerated poets and writers

“NOT MY BRUSH,” Brian Hindson
2020, Acrylic on mixed media paper, 9″ x 12″
“Initially this was painted without the brush. It was from a photo that was too familiar. The brush was added after much deliberation and thought. I know I’ve been fortunate to be allowed to create.”
Our cover photo features Brian Hindson's work, "Not My Brush", featuring an incarcerated person holding a paintbrush behind their back seemingly hoping that a prison guard doesn't confiscate it. It's a powerful statement about access to creative expression and resources in prison.
