Thank you.

Someone offered me the opportunity and I always found it hard to say no. It was a prose story, a form I was more comfortable with back then. It was a challenge I thought might be fun.

That was a long time ago... Do I correctly recall an Alaskan setting?

Weird spring day. Surprisingly warm. Sat in garden lulled by drone of bees.
Retired indoors; ate a pleasant meal.
Spent the next several hours watching two houses in the terrace opposite reduced by fire to ruins.
Thought about instant homelessness.
Thought about missiles howling down from the sky

Just finished listening to audiobook of Patti Smith's memoir Bread of Angels. She reads it herself. Poetic and soporific. Can recommend if you like that sort of thing...

Enjoying Leepus: Dizzy by @jamiedelano.bsky.social of Hellblazer fame. In the ever-present tense of 'Inglund', and the dystopian aftermath of The Reduction, our hero fields unexpected challenges from nearly all remaining powers that be - to his friends, his home, possibly to his own identity...

Yeah, wasn't sure how Leepus might develop when I first trailed it. Sorry to mislead. Thanks for the mention.

Leepus' escapades in Inglund more of the unexpectedly weird excursion than occult detection. 😉 Hope you enjoy it.

Just a reminder. They seem pretty cheap for the moment...

Of course I did... as opposed to merely adjusting a digital record.

Ailments: irritations that in youth generally come and go, but after a certain age accumulate relentless.

Every damn thing I've written, first printed page I've opened: typo.

I'll buy that option; the global cacophony is reaching the point of unbearable.

Ghost Dancing... haven't heard that one mentioned in decades. Flattered it's remembered.

Recording of second audiobook in three months nearing completion; heartily sick now of the sound of my own voice. One more to go. I may thereafter consider a vow of silence.

Thank you. Kind of you to say so. Quite fond of that one myself.

You guys are in serious trouble.

And we're just a couple of years behind you.

Although, as a fictional pal of mine might say "Even idiots sometimes get lucky." 😉

In poker terms he's a 'maniac' who thinks he's a fucking 'eagle'. We're all the bloody chips.

Damn pigeons and collared doves are convinced it's spring; their constant amorous vocalisations outside my studio window are not conducive to calm audiobook recording.

Can't imagine Trump is going to let the woman who won 'his' Nobel Peace Prize assume the presidency of Venezuela.
