Http Client Batch Method in Laravel 12.32 - Laravel News The Laravel team released version 12.32.0 this week with a new HTTP batch method, an "after" rate limiting method to control rate limiting by response, batch job failure callback support, and more.

Hey #laravel devs. When would you use the new Http::batch method, as opposed to a Job batch of single Http requests?

I have 100 requests I need to do to the same endpoint but with different data. Would you Http::batch or Job::batch?

Yes, but I’m thinking as the developer of a sensitive app, I don’t believe I can trust all my users (b2b) to have secure device passcodes. And devices go missing occasionally. But I get the idea that it’s still β€œsomething you have”

No, the phone passcode is the failback for any failed biometrics. So where ever I save my passkey, that’s protected by Face ID, but could be overridden with a 4 digit passcode.

I personally like using keys. However on my super private data heavy app, I wouldn’t use them. Because of the iOS fallback to a passcode. (Which could be just 4 characters!)

Is there a way to avoid this, do you know? #laravel #passkeys #cybersecurity @freek.bsky.social @valorin.bsky.social

@jbrooks.uk hey James, cheeky question, but I don’t suppose you need an extra volunteer or two to help out in June for Laravel Live? Did this for my first few WordCamps back in the day, and it was a great way to start to get involved!

Intriguing thought… it could be the perfect moment for the discovery though; something monumental that wows the world so much people realise they have a common understanding?
